My bestie is pregnant too!

Imagine being pregnant at the same time as your best friend...

Towie mums, Ferne McCann and Danielle Armstrong both announced that they were pregnant with baby number two this week...

I am extremely excited about this having been their teacher for baby number one and Ferne's doula with daughter Sunday...

My advice this time around will be to attend a Wise Hippo refresher class...

What's covered in a Refresher Class?

We start off by reflecting and reframing birth number one. It is important to let go of any negative emotions associated with a previous birth so that these emotions don't surface again when preparing for baby number two...

We also ask parents what parts of the programme they enjoyed the most and what did they find most useful during their preparation and birth.

I do remember Ferne saying how much she loved using her ' Cloak of Protection' and 'Thought exchange' when the media were camped outside her house.

For Danielle, she thoroughly enjoyed lying in the bath after a busy day, listening to The Wise Hippo affirmations and Relax with Nature session.

A refresher class is a great way to gauge what has been remembered from last time and what hasn't so that we can tailor the class specifically to the individual needs of the parents... 

This class is a wonderful opportunity to go over and fine tune all techniques again for both mum and birth partner...

Discussing how to make the time to practice around the first child is something that tends to always come up in a refresher class...

We will support each other and encourage each other to practice...

What's really wonderful about being pregnant at the same time is the support Ferne and Danielle will be able to give each other. You can never underestimate the power of accountability, particularly when it's your best friend...

I can see the front of the OK magazine in my minds eye with Ferne and Danielle looking glam, bumps out, calm and relaxed as they prepare for birth number two...maybe a homebirth this time or even a waterbirth?

You can never practice enough as far as I am concerned so to have your pregnant bestie sharing this special time certainly makes the experience even more magical...
